Bread Ahead Bakery

We carried the spirit of London's Borough Market bakery to Riyadh without copying it — marble, timber, and arches that present bread the way a home presents it.

A marble counter separates the bakery from the café without closing the view. A bird-print etched glass wall filters the south light, and the seating layers in three modes: a quick bar, family booths, and a back room with a London floor.

Heat was the enemy — an active bakery in a glazed corner. We placed the oven behind an insulated service wall and let the etched glass act as a single filter for both light and heat.
