An office building's common areas built to do one job: make the first thirty seconds after the door feel deliberate.

The lobby is set out as a frame: a dark stone band at floor level draws the walking line, pale marble takes the walls, and the identity sits at eye height on the one panel the lift doors face. Linear pendants cross the ceiling at right angles to the approach so the light reads as structure. Upstairs the same two stones return in the meeting rooms, with glass partitions keeping the daylight moving through the plan.

Lift lobbies collect clutter — signage, extinguishers, bins, notices. Every one of those was given a designated recess in the stonework at setting-out stage, so the finished lobby has somewhere legitimate to put the things a building actually needs.
